Our Engagement Story
On Valentine’s Day, 2008, Ken asked me to marry him … and I said, “Yes!”
It wasn’t a total surprise as I had some idea it was coming … but I was blown away by the way he proposed.
We had a babysitter lined up so we could go to dinner and while I was in my room getting ready … Ken sent each kid in (yes … all 5!) with a rose to present to me … one at a time … with Austin last he escorted me out to the living room where Ken dropped to his knee and showered me with compliments and asked me to be his wife.
I was so impressed that he would include our kids as this is just as important to them as it is to us. I’m excited and proud of my new fiancé and my beautiful ring.
